Baked Spaghetti

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 cup green pepper, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 (28 ounce) can tomatoes, cut-up with liquid
  • 1 (4 ounce) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
  • 1 (2 1/4 ounce) can sliced ripe olives, drained
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 lb ground beef, browned & drained
  • 12 ounces spaghetti, cooked & drained
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese

Recipe

  • 1 in large skillet, saute onion and green pepper in butter until tender.
  • 2 add tomatoes, mushrooms, olives and oregano.
  • 3 add ground beef.
  • 4 simmer.
  • 5 place half of the spaghetti in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
  • 6 top with half of the vegetable mixture.
  • 7 sprinkle with 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
  • 8 repeat layers.
  • 9 mix soup and water until smooth; pour over casserole.
  • 10 sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
  • 11 bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes in a 350 degree oven or until heated through.
