Baked Rice

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups rice, uncooked, can use brown
  • 3/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 cup diced celery
  • 1 (8 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 (10 ounce) can beef consomme
  • 1 (10 ounce) can water, from the beef consomme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350.
  • 2 in a large bowl, mix all ingredients together. pour into a casserole dish.
  • 3 cover and bake at 350 for about 1 hour, stirring and replacing cover halfway through cooking time.
  • 4 mixture should be slightly brown.
