Beef Round Roast

Total Time: 3 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 3 hrs

Ingredients

  • 1 cup onion, thinly sliced
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 round roast (approx. 3 pounds)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 325f degrees.
  • 2 spread half of the onions on the bottom of a roaster.
  • 3 rinse roast under the tap, pat dry with paper towel, and place on onion mixture.
  • 4 sprinkle pepper and salt on roast.
  • 5 cover with garlic and remaining onions.
  • 6 mix water and worcestershire sauce, and pour over roast.
  • 7 cover and cook in preheated oven for 2-1/2 to 3 hours, or until roast is tender, basting often.
  • 8 after done cooking, let roast stand for 10-15 minutes in order to carve more easily.
