Better Than Mom's Pot Roast

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 4 -5 lbs beef roast
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1/2 cup cider vinegar
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 6 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 5 carrots, chopped
  • 5 celery ribs, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 season both sides of roast with salt and pepper.
  • 2 combine broth, ketchup, vinegar, onions, garlic, and sugar in slow cooker.
  • 3 add roast and top with carrots and celery.
  • 4 cover and cook on low for 8 hours, until meat is tender.
