Balsamic Pot Roast

Total Time: 8 hrs 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 8 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 4 lbs boneless bottom round roast
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1 -2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon beef bouillon
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2-1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon basil

Recipe

  • 1 place roast in crock pot.
  • 2 add all ingredients.
  • 3 let marinade 4 hours or overnight. (overnight is best).
  • 4 turn a few times to coat.
  • 5 cook roast on low until internal temp is 145-160, depending on preference of doneness, 6-8 hours.
  • 6 remove remaining juices from crockpot; pour in a saucepan and boil for 2 minutes.
  • 7 serve over sliced meat.
