slow cooker italian beef sandwiches

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1 (6 pound) rump roast
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
  • 1/3 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste

    Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 8 hrs

    Ready Time: 8 hrs 10 mins

  • combine roast, water, basil, oregano, salt, garlic powder, parsley flakes, bay leaves, red pepper flakes, and black pepper together in a slow cooker.
  • cook in the slow cooker set to low for 8 to 10 hours. remove bay leaves and shred meat using two forks.
