Best Meatloaf Ever

Total Time: 1 hr 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 4 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
  • 5 slices bread
  • 2 lbs ground beef, extra lean
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 onion, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 slices bacon, trimmed of the fat
  • 3 tablespoons condensed tomato soup

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees f.
  • 2 combine milk, ketchup and worcestershire sauce.
  • 3 trim crusts from the bread,add the seasoned milk and soak for 10 minutes , then beat with a fork.
  • 4 mix meat,bread,mustard ,onion and herbs together with salt and pepper to taste.
  • 5 mix in the eggs.
  • 6 pack lightly into a loaf pan,top with bacon slices.
  • 7 bake for 45 minutes.
  • 8 remove bacon and spread tomato soup on top.
  • 9 bake an additional 15 mins or until the loaf shrinks slightly away from the pan.
