Beef And Cheese Manicotti

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 (8 ounce) box manicotti
  • 1 (26 ounce) jar marinara sauce
  • 3 slices bread, for bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 small onion, chopped (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • black olives (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 boil manicotti shells and let cool slightly. i rinse them after cooking so they don't stick together quite as bad.
  • 2 pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.
  • 3 brown the ground beef with the onion and drain.
  • 4 combine egg, 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, bread crumbs, olives, mushrooms and meat in a large bowl.
  • 5 stuff the shells with the meat mixture and line them up in a baking dish.
  • 6 pour marinara sauce over the stuffed shells and cover with the remaining cheese.
  • 7 cover with foil and cook for 30 minutes at 400 degrees.
  • 8 if you like your cheese browned, remove the foil for the last 10 minutes or so.
