Beef And Bean Rollups

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 1/2 cups lamb and beans
  • 1/2 cup chopped dried beef
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup ketchup

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • 2 brown the ground beef and drain.
  • 3 add remaining ingredients for the meat mixture; set aside.
  • 4 in a large bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt.
  • 5 cut in butter until crumbly.
  • 6 add milk and molasses; stir just until dough clings together.
  • 7 on a lightly floured surface knead dough 5-6x.
  • 8 rollout to 9x12 rectangle.
  • 9 spread 3/4 cup meat mixture over dough.
  • 10 starting with longer side, roll up.
  • 11 cut into 12 1" slices.
  • 12 pour remaining meat mixture into 13x9" pan.
  • 13 place biscuit slices on meat mixture in pan.
  • 14 bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly.
