Best Shepherd's Pie

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 6 large baking potatoes
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3/4 cup baby carrots, chopped
- 3/4 cup frozen lima beans
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1 (8 ounce) can corn, drained
- 1 cup butter
- 4 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup cream
- salt and pepper
- 1 cup mild cheddar cheese
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 375°f.
- 2 peel potatoes, wash, cube and boil them until soft for mashing.
- 3 mash potatoes and mix in butter, milk, cream, salt and pepper.
- 4 cook ground beef, drain and add worcestershire sauce, simmer.
- 5 saute all veggies, except the corn, in olive oil until slightly tender, but not cooked through.
- 6 mix the sauteed veggies in with the ground beef, heap into casserole dish.
- 7 layer the corn on top of the ground beef mixture in casserole dish.
- 8 spoon and smooth out the mashed potatoes on top of the corn.
- 9 bake for 15-20 minutes.
- 10 top with cheddar cheese and broil until cheese is melted.
