Beef & Portabellas

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 lbs boneless beef top sirloin steaks
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cups fresh portabella mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 2 teaspoons dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (save a little for garnish)

Recipe

  • 1 in a large skillet, sear the steak in 2 tbs of olive oil (about 5 minutes per side).
  • 2 remove and keep warm in the oven. put the other 1 tbs of olive oil and the butter in the pan.
  • 3 add onion and mushrooms to the pan.
  • 4 saute for 3 minutes.
  • 5 add remaining ingredients, bring to a boil.
  • 6 reduce heat and simmer for 2 minutes.
  • 7 slice the steak into 1/4" pieces.
  • 8 serve steak with mushrooms and sauce spooned over the top. garnish with some fresh chopped parsley.
