Beef And Garden Vegetable Soup

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 1/2 lbs beef shanks
  • 2 medium carrots, sliced
  • 2 stalks celery, sliced
  • 1 large potato, peeled and cubed
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped cabbage
  • 1/3 cup coarsely chopped onion
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 cups tomato juice
  • 2 tablespoons beef bouillon
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 bay leaves

Recipe

  • 1 combine all ingredients in slow cooker. cover and cook on low 8-10 hours. discard bones and bay leaf. skim off fat.
