Beef And Bean Burritos

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 lbs beef, ground
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon cumin (to taste)
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (31 ounce) can refried beans
  • 12 large flour tortillas

Recipe

  • 1 saute onion in oil until tender.
  • 2 add beef and garlic and cook until beef is no longer pink.
  • 3 drain.
  • 4 add chili powder, cumin & other seasonings.
  • 5 stir in tomato sauce and simmer 5 minutes.
  • 6 add refried beans and cook and stir until well blended.
  • 7 set aside to cool completely.
  • 8 divide meat mixture into 12 portions.
  • 9 soften tortillas, according to package instructions, and place a portion of meat on each.
  • 10 roll up, burrito style.
  • 11 bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
  • 12 these may be frozen as follows.
  • 13 place seam side down on a cookie sheet and freeze until frozen.
  • 14 wrap each individually and return to freezer.
