Beef Stew

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 package lean stew meat
- 8 ounces tomato sauce
- 2 cups beef broth
- parsley
- thyme
- flour
- oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- salt and pepper
- potato, carrots,and celery
Recipe
- 1 season flour with salt and pepper.
- 2 season meat with salt and pepper.
- 3 dredge meat in flour and brown in batches in 2 tsp.
- 4 of hot oil, adding oil between batches if needed (do not over crowd.) place in bowl when finished.
- 5 in the same pot add 1 tsp.
- 6 oil and onion saute about 2 minutes and add garlic and tomatoe sauce.
- 7 stir about 3 to 4 minutes.
- 8 add meat to the mixture and add herbs.
- 9 simmer about 1 1/2 hours.
- 10 add vegetables last 30-45 minutes.
- 11 season with salt and pepper if needed.
- 12 serve over rice.
