Beef Stew

Total Time: 10 hrs 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 lbs beef stew meat
  • 3 cups sliced carrots
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 2 (14 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup quick-cooking tapioca
  • 1 whole clove
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Recipe

  • 1 place beef in slow cooker. add carrots, onion, celery and tomatoes.
  • 2 stir in tapioca, clove, bay leaves, salt and pepper. cover and cook on low for 10-12 hours.
  • 3 remove from slow cooker and allow to cool. place in freezer bag. label and freeze.
  • 4 to serve: thaw. heat until hot and bubbly. serve with bread.
