Beer Puffs With Corned Beef Filling

Total Time: 12 hrs 10 mins Preparation Time: 12 hrs Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup beer
  • 1/4 lb butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups corned beef, finely chopped (real or deli)
  • 2 tablespoons onions, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon horseradish
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 2 teaspoons mayonnaise

Recipe

  • 1 the day before: bring beer and butter to a boil. when butter is melted, add flour and salt. cook this over low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture pulls away from the sides of the pan. remove from heat.
  • 2 preheat oven to 450 degrees f.
  • 3 beat in eggs one at a time until dough is shiny. drop by teaspoonfuls 1 inch apart on a lightly greased cookie sheet. bake for 10 minutes. reduce temperature to 350 and bake an additional 10 minutes. let cool. split with scissors and refrigerate until ready to fill.
  • 4 prepare filling: combine all filling ingredients and chill.
  • 5 when ready to serve spoon the filling into the puffs and put on a platter.
