Basic Bolognese Sauce

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 1 kg ground beef
  • 2 (400 g) cans tomato puree
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 1/4 cup flat leaf parsley, chopped
  • sea salt
  • cracked black pepper

Recipe

  • 1 heat a large frying pan. add the oil, garlic, onion, and cook for 3 minutes or until just soft.
  • 2 add th emince and cook, stirring, until brown.
  • 3 add the tomato puree and stock and rapidly simmer for 10-15 minutes or until thickened to your liking.
  • 4 stir through the parsley, salt and pepper.
