Baked Ziti

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 lb mostaccioli pasta (cooked as per box)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2-1 lb bulk sausage (optional)
  • 16 ounces whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 16 ounces mozzarella cheese (i use the brick and grate myself, i think that its way better than pre-packaged)
  • 1 lb spaghetti sauce, depending on how much sauce you like (or more, i make my own)
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 1 tablespoon italian seasoning

Recipe

  • 1 cook ground beef and sausage in pan and drain.
  • 2 add ricotta cheese, parsley and ital. seasoning and mix well.
  • 3 add cooked pasta, 1°c of grated mozzarella and sauce to your liking, leaving about a 1/2c. for the top before baking.
  • 4 mix well and put into a 13 x 9 pan.
  • 5 add a light layer of sauce on top so ziti does not burn.
  • 6 cook at 350* for 30 minutes.
  • 7 cover with remaining mozzarella cheese and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  • 8 enjoy!
