Baked Stuffed Shells

Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 (16 ounce) can tomatoes
- 2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 (12 ounce) package jumbo pasta shells, cooked
- 1 1/2 lbs cream-style cottage cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 1 egg, beaten
Recipe
- 1 in large skillet, brown ground beef and onion, cooking until onion is tender.
- 2 add garlic, tomatoes, tomato sauce and seasonings.
- 3 stir well and bring to a boil.
- 4 simmer 15 minutes.
- 5 combine cottage cheese, bread crumbs, 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, parsley and egg.
- 6 spoon cheese mixture into shells.
- 7 arrange shells cheese side up in 13x9" baking dish.
- 8 pour tomato sauce over shells.
- 9 cover with foil and bake at 375 deg for 30 min.
- 10 remove cover; sprinkle with remaining parmesan cheese.
- 11 continue bake 15 min.
- 12 longer.
