Beef And Pasta Pie

Ingredients

- 3/4 lb lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 16 ounces crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- salt
- pepper
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated and divided
- 4 ounces whole wheat fettuccine
- 1/2 cup egg
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- parsley, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Recipe
- 1 brown beef and onion in a skillet.
- 2 stir in tomatoes, oregano, salt and pepper (to taste) and bring to a boil.
- 3 simmer uncovered for 20 minutes. (stir occasionally.).
- 4 remove from heat.
- 5 add mozzarella and 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese and let stand for 10 minutes.
- 6 cook fettucine.
- 7 combine 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, egg whites, butter, parsley, and garlic powder.
- 8 stir into the hot noodles.
- 9 spoon onto tomato mixture.
- 10 cover and cook on low for 15-20 minutes.
- 11 let stand for 5 minutes.
