Beef Stuffed French Loaf

Ingredients

- 1 small onion
- 1 loaf unsliced french bread (one pound)
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cheddar cheese soup
- 1 medium green pepper, chopped
- 1 celery rib, chopped
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 slices american cheese, halved
Recipe
- 1 cut off top of bread.
- 2 hollow out bottom of loaf, leaving 1/2 inch shell.
- 3 cut removed bread into cubes, set aside.
- 4 in a skillet, brown beef and onion, drain.
- 5 add soup, green pepper, celery, worcestershire, salt, and pepper.
- 6 cook and stir 3 to 4 minutes.
- 7 stir in reserved bread cubes.
- 8 spread beef mixture into bread shell, top with cheese slices.
- 9 replace bread top.
- 10 wrap loaf in foil and place on cookie sheet.
- 11 bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
- 12 slice and serve.
