Beef Creole (boeuf Creole)

Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked beef, coarsely chopped
- 2 tablespoons lard or 2 tablespoons drippings
- 1/2 green pepper, chopped
- 1 small onion, minced
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 8 ounces okra, drained
- cajun seasoning
- 1 cup celery, diced
- 2 cups canned tomatoes
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
Recipe
- 1 heat lard in heavy skillet.
- 2 slowly saute meat, green pepper, onion, and celery for 10 minutes.
- 3 sprinkle with flour and blend inches.
- 4 add okra, seasonings, and tomatoes.
- 5 cook slowly for 20 minutes, or until done, stirring frequently.
