Beef Pattie Burgundy

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 8 mins Cook Time: 17 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground round
  • 3/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 3/4 cup burgundy wine, divided
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced (canned button mushrooms may be used)
  • 1 (10 ounce) can beef gravy

Recipe

  • 1 mix together in a bowl the ground round, bread crumbs, 4 tablespoons of the wine and seasonings. shape the meat into 4 oval patties. brown 5 minute each side in a large skillet. remove meat from skillet and set aside.
  • 2 saute fresh mushrooms until nearly cooked (saute canned mushrooms 1 minute). add remaining 1/2 cup wine and gravy. bring to bubble and return meat to sauce for 5 minutes. serve on large platter with gravy on top.
