Beef Kwantung

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup sliced celery
  • 2 green onions
  • 1 lb sirloin steak
  • 1 1/2 cups snow peas
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Recipe

  • 1 cut onions into 1-inch pieces. cut the steak into 1/2x2 inch strips. cut the tomatoes into wedges.
  • 2 heat oil in a wok or large fry pan. saute garlic, mushrooms, celery, and onions for 1-2 minutes.
  • 3 add the steak and continue to saute until browned.
  • 4 add snow peas, soy sauce, and tomatoes and stir well.
  • 5 mix corn starch into chicken broth until smooth. stir into meat and vegetable mixture. cook until clear and thickened.
  • 6 serve over hot rice.
