Barbequed Hot Dogs

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 6 -12 hot dogs (i prefer hebrew national, but feel free to choose your own!)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 large onion (diced finely)
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard (wet)

Recipe

  • 1 saute diced onion in butter until clear (not brown!).
  • 2 add ketchup, water, sugar, vinegar and mustard.
  • 3 bring to boil and simmer for about 20 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
  • 4 serve hot! (but be sure to save any leftovers, you'll want them tomorrow!).
