Beef Cups

Ingredients
- Servings: 12
- 12 slices sandwich bread (wonder bread)
- 3 tablespoons softened butter
- 1 1/4 lbs ground beef or 1 1/4 lbs sausage
- 1 egg
- 1 small onion, chopped (i'm using green onions)
- 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- salt and pepper
- 1 -2 dash tabasco sauce (optional)
- 3/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- 2 butter one side of each slice of wonder bread and press each slice butter-side down into the cups of a muffin tin.
- 3 in a medium bowl, mix together the ground beef, egg, onion, cream of mushroom soup, salt and pepper until well blended.
- 4 add this point add the tabasco sauce if using -- turning up the heat.
- 5 fill each bread cup with the mixture. sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the tops.
- 6 bake for 30 minutes or until meat is cooked through.
