Beef Cups

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 12 slices sandwich bread (wonder bread)
  • 3 tablespoons softened butter
  • 1 1/4 lbs ground beef or 1 1/4 lbs sausage
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, chopped (i'm using green onions)
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 -2 dash tabasco sauce (optional)
  • 3/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 butter one side of each slice of wonder bread and press each slice butter-side down into the cups of a muffin tin.
  • 3 in a medium bowl, mix together the ground beef, egg, onion, cream of mushroom soup, salt and pepper until well blended.
  • 4 add this point add the tabasco sauce if using -- turning up the heat.
  • 5 fill each bread cup with the mixture. sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the tops.
  • 6 bake for 30 minutes or until meat is cooked through.
