Baby Food: Beef Stew #5fix

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup grass fed stew beef chunk, diced small
  • 1 large carrot, peeled, diced small
  • 1 1/4 cups simply potatoes diced potatoes with onion
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas, thawed
  • 4 cups water or 4 cups low sodium chicken broth

Recipe

  • 1 cook the beef in a heavy sauce pan over medium low heat in a bit of olive oil until browned and cooked through, about 5 minutes. while the beef is cooking, dice carrots. add carrots, simply potatoes diced potatoes with onion to the pan with the beef. cook until potatoes and onions are slightly browned, about 3 minutes. add water or broth. bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer, partly covered, for about 20 minutes, or until meat is softened. add peas and cook for 3 minutes drain the stew, reserving liquid. puree the beef and vegetables, adding liquid as needed to reach desired consistency. can leave chunkier if older and can "pinch" food with fingers.
