Beef 'n Barley Dinner

Ingredients

- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 cups water
- 1 (16 ounce) can whole tomatoes, undrained,cut in pieces
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 3/4 cup pearl barley
Recipe
- 1 in large skillet, brown ground beef, green pepper, onion and garlic, drain.
- 2 add remaining ingredients.
- 3 bring to boil; reduce heat.
- 4 cover and simmer 50-60 minutes or until barley is tender, stirring occasionally.
