Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 3/4 cup oats
- 1 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons onions, very finely minced
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- ground black pepper (plenty, to taste)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (coating for frozen meatballs)
- canola oil
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 tablespoons vinegar
- 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 4 -6 tablespoons onions
- tabasco sauce (1 dash (or more)
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- 2 combine ground beef, oats, milk, 3t very finely minced onion, salt and black pepper.
- 3 roll into medium-small balls and place on a cookie sheet.
- 4 place sheet in freezer for five minutes.
- 5 after 5 minutes, remove meatballs from freezer and immediately dredge in unseasoned flour.
- 6 brown meatballs in canola oil until just brown.
- 7 place into a baking dish.
- 8 combine all sauce ingredients.
- 9 pour over meatballs and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
- 10 serve with egg noodles, mashed potatoes, or crusty french bread.
