Beef Stroganoff

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 1/2 lbs sirloin steaks, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 (8 ounce) can mushrooms
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, finely chopped (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 in a large skillet melt the butter
  • 2 saute the onion and garlic until transparent
  • 3 add the meat to brown and mix well
  • 4 stir in flour, mushrooms with liquid, salt, pepper, and soups
  • 5 heat thoroughly stir in sour cream and heat.
  • 6 do not allow to boil
  • 7 serve over noodles or rice and garnish with parsley if desire.
