Beef Stroganoff (in A Crock Pot)

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 2 ounces butter
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 1 1/2 lbs braising steak
- 2 tablespoons seasoned flour
- 1/2 pint beef stock
- 4 ounces sliced mushrooms
- 1 teaspoon mixed herbs
- 1 tablespoon tomato puree
- 2 teaspoons french mustard
- 1/4 pint single cream
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Recipe
- 1 preheat the crock pot on high for 20 minutes.
- 2 heat the butter in a large pan and gently saute the onions until they begin to turn transparent.
- 3 toss the braising steak in the seasoned flour and add to the onions.
- 4 stir the mixture over the heat until the meat is lightly browned.
- 5 stir in the remaining ingredients and bring to the boil.
- 6 transfer to the crock pot and cook on high for 30 minutes.
- 7 then switch to low for 6 - 10 hours.
- 8 just before serving, stir well.
- 9 swirl the cream on top of the stroganoff.
- 10 garnish with chopped parsley.
