Beef Cubes In Sherry

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 lbs lean stewing beef, cubed
  • 1 (1 1/4 ounce) package onion soup mix
  • 1 cup sherry wine
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 lb sliced mushrooms

Recipe

  • 1 heat oil in heavy pot. brown the beef cubes on all sides.
  • 2 add soup mix, sherry, garlic salt, and mushrooms; stir well.
  • 3 cover pot; simmer mixture at least 1 hour or until meat is tender to the fork. (add an additional water or soup stock if needed.).
