Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 lbs lean stewing beef, cubed
- 1 (1 1/4 ounce) package onion soup mix
- 1 cup sherry wine
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/4 lb sliced mushrooms
Recipe
- 1 heat oil in heavy pot. brown the beef cubes on all sides.
- 2 add soup mix, sherry, garlic salt, and mushrooms; stir well.
- 3 cover pot; simmer mixture at least 1 hour or until meat is tender to the fork. (add an additional water or soup stock if needed.).
