Bacon And Beef Gravy

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 3 slices bacon, cubed
  • 2 small onions, chopped
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can beef consomme
  • 1 teaspoon dijon-style mustard
  • 2 tablespoons catsup
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Recipe

  • 1 prepare gravy by cooking bacon in a sauce pan until partially done.
  • 2 add onions and saute for 5 miuntes.
  • 3 pour in the beef consumne'.
  • 4 bring to a boil.
  • 5 mix water and corn starch together.
  • 6 add corn starch mixture to sauce pan.
  • 7 cook till mixture has thicken.
  • 8 lower heat.
  • 9 add mustard, salt and pepper to taste; stir in catsup.
  • 10 serve over mashed potatoes, or noodles.
