Beef Onion Bake

Ingredients

- 2 lbs round steaks, cubed
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour (stone ground)
- 2 teaspoons cavenders all purpose greek seasoning
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 large yellow onion, sliced thin
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 (14 ounce) can beef broth
- 1 1/2 cups dry red wine (merlot)
- 1 head garlic
- 4 garlic cloves, diced
Recipe
- 1 ===pots and pans:.
- 2 large electric skillet, 1-9x13 casserole dish, 1 gallon ziplock bag, aluminum foil (or lid) to cover casserole dish.
- 3 ===preparation:.
- 4 mash and peel garlic.
- 5 skin onion, slice in half, then slice thinly.
- 6 in 1 gallon bag, mix flour and cavender's greek seasoning.
- 7 cube meat.
- 8 dice 4 cloves garlic.

- 10 heat oil in electric skillet to 300°f.
- 11 place meat in bag, shake/turn to coat with flour.
- 12 remove meat from bag, shaking off excess flour, add to oil in skillet.
- 13 brown meat on all sides.
- 14 remove meat to casserole dish.
- 15 add whole cloves and diced to casserole dish.
- 16 preheat oven to 350°f.
- 17 add olive oil to skillet as needed to saute onions. add onions to skillet and saute until soft.
- 18 remove onions to casserole dish.
- 19 add wine and beef broth to casserole dish.
- 20 cover casserole dish and place in oven. bake for 2 hours.
