Ingredients
- 1/2 cup canned beets, drained and minced
- 2 -4 tablespoons horseradish
- 8 slices ciabatta (crusty) or 8 slices four crusty rolls
- 8 ounces beef (lean, sliced)
- 1/2 cup red onion (sliced)
- 1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained*
- 2 cups lettuce (leaf type, shredded)
Recipe
- 1 in a small bowl combine beets and horseradish to make spread; blend well. to assemble sandwich, spread beet-horseradish mixture on one side of 4 slices of bread. arrange beef, onion, mushrooms and lettuce on top. top with remaining slices of bread.
