Beef Stroganoff

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 45 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb round steak (sliced very thin)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 can campbells condensed golden mushroom soup
  • 1/2 medium onion, chopped
  • fresh sliced mushrooms (as many as you like)
  • water
  • 2 tablespoons oil (olive or vegetable)

Recipe

  • 1 saute the onion and mushrooms in 1 tbsp oil until soft.
  • 2 set onion/mushroom mixture aside.
  • 3 brown sliced beef in 1 tbsp oil until almost done.
  • 4 add onion/mushroom mixture to beef.
  • 5 add soup to beef/onion mixture and mix well.
  • 6 add sour cream and stir until well mixed and light in color.
  • 7 simmer over low heat about 20 minutes, adding a few tbsp of water as necessary to keep mixture a medium consistency.
  • 8 serve over rice or egg noodles.
