Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients

- 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 1/2 lbs sirloin steaks, cubed
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 (8 ounce) can mushrooms
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons parsley, finely chopped (optional)
Recipe
- 1 in a large skillet melt the butter
- 2 saute the onion and garlic until transparent
- 3 add the meat to brown and mix well
- 4 stir in flour, mushrooms with liquid, salt, pepper, and soups
- 5 heat thoroughly stir in sour cream and heat.
- 6 do not allow to boil
- 7 serve over noodles or rice and garnish with parsley if desire.
