Beef & Biscuit Casserole

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 1/4 lbs ground round
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1 (7 1/2 ounce) can refrigerated biscuits, buttermilk
- 1/4 cup diced green chilies or 1/4 cup green pepper
- 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- salt & pepper
Recipe
- 1 brown ground beef, onions, garlic & peppers; drain.
- 2 stir in tomato sauce, chili powder, salt & pepper.
- 3 simmer while preparing dough.
- 4 separate biscuits and pull apart into 2 layers.
- 5 press 10 biscuits into bottom of 8" or 9" square pan.
- 6 combine 1/2 cup of cheese, sour cream & egg and mix well.
- 7 stir in ground beef and spoon over biscuits.
- 8 place remaining biscuits on top and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
- 9 bake @ 250f for 25 to 30 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.
