Baked Pasta

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1/2 cup half-and-half
  • 3/4 cup marinara sauce
  • 3/4 lb penne pasta
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated (for topping)

Recipe

  • 1 boil 4 quarts of water.
  • 2 heat large frying pan and add oil, beef, and garlic.
  • 3 saute until meat is tender and drain excess fat.
  • 4 add all remaining ingredients except the mozzarella and pasta.
  • 5 simmer the mixture while pasta cooks in water until al dente.
  • 6 drain pasta and mix it with the sauce.
  • 7 pour all into a 3 quart baking dish and then top with mozzarella.
  • 8 bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until bubbly.
